Quinceañera save-the-dates: when to send them
A save-the-date gives your guests time to plan travel, outfits and padrino duties before the formal invitation arrives. Here is a simple timeline and what to include.
How far in advance?
1
9–12 months before
Book the church and venue first. Your save-the-date can only go out once the date and city are set.
2
6–9 months before
Send your save-the-dates. Out-of-town family and padrinos need this head start to arrange flights, hotels and time off.
3
3–4 months before
Send the formal invitations with the full details: ceremony, reception, dress code and RSVP.
